  After being at this dentist for over 10 years my regular dentist had left, and was introduced to a young different dentist who seemed pleasant enough. After a consultation and an X-ray he informed me I needed 4 fillings, had gum disease, and needed regular 3 month visits to asses my gums, which was a surprise to me as my previous dentist at the surgery had always said my teeth was in good condition. He told me I'd need to return in 3 months and said goodbye, he did not offer or even attempt to give them a scrub and clean whilst I was there.. when I went downstairs the grumpy receptionist said I had to stump up over £200 for the required dental work upfront, + the £20 for the visit. Conscious about the condition of my teeth I decided to get a 2nd opinion at another surgery.. when I went to a different dental surgery they went through the same procedure of taking an X-ray, and even clean and scrubbed my teeth included in the same price as Kenyons practice. They informed my my gums looked good, my teeth looked good, and the X-ray revealed no holes in my teeth and would not require any fillings. So why had the new dentist at kenyons told me I needed over £200 of dental work, coincidentley the kenyon surgery has just changed the facade of the surgery with a nice expensive sandstone, and internal alterations. I can't help but feel they're just trying it on to get money out of folks in order to contribute costs to the building work, and shall not be returning. Beware.
